Craze on You

Hi! It is my late post. I ever tried to apply my imagination on my writing. I thought it is funny and made me want to make it more. Actually we can write many things that we want.
Can take from our personal experiences, our observation or our fantasy. And it will be nice if you can give your comments below.

Get Me Back

When we were kids, Andrew took all of my things. He took my toys, my comics and all, with his trick he had always said, “ You don’t need this anymore, do you? That’s mine now.”Andrew  was my mom’s favorite. Everybody knew it. When we grew up, the objects of his desire changed and his methods matured. But the outcome was the same. Andrew took every important thing in my life.
I thought Natalie would be the one thing I had that he never took. She had always ignored his flattery. Treated him with disdain. Pushed me to stand up to his bullying. But Andrew always got what he wanted and he always wanted what I had. And now he had Natalie.I was thinking of our earlier conversation when we had just finished lovemaking. She laid next to me in the bed and started to confess her sins,“ Antony, I slept with Andrew,” she had said without  matter-of-guilty. “When?” I asked. I realized that ‘when’ was the least important question.
I needed to know why? Why did she choose Andrew, my brother. Why after we passed our whole days all these years? why? With her droopy eyes she teased me again, “ Last week when you were in duty . Antony, I’m so sorry.” Everything was over, It felt like a doomsday for me; however, all memories of my previous girlfriends appeared instead. Andrew and Diana. Andrew and Samantha. Andrew and  Sarah. Andrew and everyone. He had slept with all of them. It made me mad. I didn’t care with them now. I lost contact with her for many weeks. She tried to apologize and talk to me. I could forgive her; however I had closed my heart for her.
In the early morning, she came to me and pushed me broke all my wrath off. She stamped up to the drawer and took a large bread knife and held it to her throat. While she screamed, “That’s  really hurt.” She added, “ I ‘m ready to die if  you shout me out again!”
“ It doesn’t have to; find someone who is right for you.”
“ But that’s you! You have to realize that by now!”
“ But all I’ve done is reject you and if I’m not mistaken you have betrayed me.”
“ Fine, I’ll finish it all”
“ What are you doing?”
“ If you don’t come back to me by the time I count to ten, I’ll dampen this floor  with my blood.”
“ Honesty, “ replied me stepping toward her. She held the knife closer. Blood trickled from a slight cut. “ Put the knife back!”
“ One!” she screamed.
“ Don’t make me beg!”
“ Two!”
“ This won’t change anything!”
“ Three! I’m only want to be with you!”
“Natalie, okay, I’ll admit it; I feel so lonely and hurt as long as these time.”
“ Five! Please say that you need me too!”
“ I can’t!”
“ Six!”
“ Please, stop! It ‘ll only ruin us!”
“Seven!”
“ This is insane! Take a breath and calm down!”
“ Eight!”
“ Oh my God, Natalie!”
“ Nine!”
“Oh my god, Natalie! OK, you win! I’ll back to you and for the rest of my life if I have to!’
“ Good,” while returning the knife to the drawer she tried to grab me around my waist. She smiled free as we promised to spend our  life together and ever without any treachery.
From this story we know that sometimes someone will ready to take a serious risk to defend their love. So if someone trust you, keep it well and no one will hurt.

The Struggle of A Mother

Seven years ago, I had an amazing time of my life. I chose a water birth at Bumi Sehat foundation, Ubud. It was 2 a.m., I started to feel hard stomachache, I knew it was the time for me to give birth; however, I worried to leave my children alone at home whereas my husband should accompany me to the foundation. So I asked my neighbor’s help to watch them over. We left them by riding my husband’s ancient vespa. It was not easy for me because as long as the way to get there, I felt pain for many times and suddenly the back tire of the vespa deflated. No one was there and repair shop either. We kept trying only a kilometer walk from Pejeng traditional market to Goa Gajah cave, fortunately a kind man helped and brought us to the foundation with his car.
Arriving there, we welcomed by barking dogs until woke the duty officer up  then he helped me to see the midwife, Mrs. Robin. She prepared all the stuffs while she said, “We’re just repaired the tap of the heater this evening but I’m sorry for it, it still broken so I will help you in normal birth”. I was disappointed and tried to find out other way so I suggested her to let my husband tried to repair it. With his deft fingers, he finished it in five minutes and finally at 5  a.m., I gave birth a cute son by means of water birth. That was a challenging experience that I would never forget.

Before I continued to my collage, I tried to practice my story telling task first. It was my awful assignment from my lecture. I had already prepared it for a week; however, I felt my performance was still bad and made me disappointed. My class finished at 21.00. On the way home, I felt hungry so I stopped at Ayam Goreng Prambanan to buy the main menu then I went home. Those activities made my day busy. I ended my day by lying down on my bed and I would be ready to face my next day.

How to Wear Balinese Traditional Clothing Appropriately

N
owdays, globalization really influence the era. All the aspects become change because of the globalization. Including in wearing Balinese traditional clothing. Perhaps there still a lot of people who do not understand that the Balinese traditional clothing is just not used as a body cover only. Traditional clothing is often used in various ceremonies, it is really meaningful. Each of part has their own meaning. In this chance I would like to highlight the grip problem in wearing the Balinese blouse (kebaya) that has many experience a shift in meaning.
But previously it would be better if we know about the basic concepts in the dress especially Balinese traditional clothing.
The values that contained in the custom clothing has august values such as shade, peace and joy. The concept itself has three parts that should not be abandoned even if only one thing. The all three concepts are Dewa Angga (the use of materials that cover the neck to the head); Manusa Angga (the use of materials that cover the navel to the neck); and Butha Angga (the use of materials that cover the waist to the feet). All parts must be fulfilled the requirements to be eligible to follow the ceremony and events in Balinese traditions.
There are also three types of clothing in Balinese traditional clothing namely Payas Agung for luxury clothing, Payas Jangkep or Payas Madya are for complete traditional clothing and Payas Alit for common event. So the Balinese people use this type of clothing in accordance with its required.
There are some basic elements of clothing that should be used when using Balinese traditional clothing and each element has a good meaning. Among others are :
      a.      KAMBEN (Bottom Cloth)
It is used to cover the lower body. For men kamben is worn from left to right and it is used for women in vice versa. It became a symbol of the righteousness tenet or Dharma. Which means that men should be responsible in women and for  women indicated Sakti  that has meaning  as  the balancer of men.
      b.     KEBAYA / KEMEJA  (Balinese Blouse / Shirt)
It has its own grid in dress. Kebaya motifs that is used must be tight and cover the upper part of the body with long sleeves for women. Beside Ngaben (cremation ceremonies) men should use a white shirt while for Ngaben use black, it means that black is symbol of sadness.
      c.      BULANG PASANG (Longtorso)
After using kamben women should use it before using kebaya. It has a meaning as a symbol of women emoticon control.
     d.     SAPUTAN
It is used for men only after using kamben. It is cover kamben  from waist to thigh. It has a philosophy as a cover of male genitalia.
     e.      SENTENG/ SELENDANG/ UMPAL
For women senteng or  selendang (scarf) has a meaning as justification. It means that women  would justify the behavior of their children or as a teacher. While umpal is used by men have the same meanings with senteng as a symbol of truth.
     f.       UDENG (Balinese Traditional Headband)
Udeng is used for men only that has meaning as the mind controller. It is used depend on the user concerns. So udeng has many varities such as Udeng Jejateran (using for social activities or praying in temple); Udeng Kepang Dara (using for kings); and Udeng Beblatukan  (for the religious leader).

As Balinese people have you used the traditional clothing in good and right way?

As people who live and really appreciate the culture of Bali, we should to know that the development of the use of traditional clothing these days is very concerned. Especially for women, they are competing in dress both in terms of material or model. It greatly affects the meaning of custom clothing itself. With wider style in the chest and shorter sleeves, it is incompatible with the proper grip certainly. Even often seen people worship only using the short-sleeved shirts and jeans. This matter gives negative opinions, such as :
1.     Making the other person is not focused when doing worship;
2.     Being the scene rivalry;
3.     Eliminating the meaning of the worship itself.

Hopefully with my writing it can take back that every detail of custom clothing that to be used  have meaning and it would be nice if it remains to be obeyed.
